Adobe CS3 – good tutorials?
One of the things that we’re doing here is looking at incorporating more video into our services and developing the ability of some video people in our congregation. To get things moving, I’ve bought Adobe CS3 Production Premium – I’ve got some experience with Photoshop and Illustrator and can do basic timeline stuff with Premiere but I’m looking at getting better, particularly with the video stuff.

Point me in the direction of some good online tutorial sites?
Yeah, I’m looking at you, Brad!

If you’re looking to get started in AE, the best place to go would be http://www.videocopilot.net/basic/
Then check out Andrew Kramer’s other, very excellent tutorials at http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials.html
Finally, Aaron Rabinowitz has a ton of very good, useful tutorials at http://cowcast.creativecow.net/after_effects/index.html
Enjoy learning AE, it’s an amazing program.

Hey Chris –
Aharon Rabinowitz is great and Andrew Kramer is really good as well. Both have their own teaching styles. To learn the basics and even get into some advance stuff, go to http://www.lynda.com. This place has everything from Leopard to anything Adobe. Basic apps to 3-D apps. For $250 you can get access to everything for a year. Pretty good deal. Another cool place is http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html. This place assumes you know a lot about After Effects and also can be hard to follow. But if you master the techniques, you can apply them anywhere.
Creative Cow has a ton so make sure you check them out. You should be set with those.
Hope that helps.
By the way – I LOVE YOUR RSS reader logo. Clever my friend. I live for that stuff.
