Hey Chris - Aharon Rabinowitz is great and Andrew Kramer is really good as well. Both have their own teaching styles. To learn the basics and even get into some advance stuff, go to www.lynda.com. This place has everything from Leopard to anything Adobe. Basic apps to 3-D apps. For $250 you can get access to everything for a year. Pretty good deal. Another cool place is http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html. This place assumes you know a lot about After Effects and also can be hard to follow. But if you master the techniques, you can apply them anywhere. Creative Cow has a ton so make sure you check them out. You should be set with those. Hope that helps.
