This weekend
I’m looking forward to a good weekend with lots of great stuff lined up. Here’s the rundown -
Friday evening
- movie with my kids – “The Jungle Book” is my 2-year old’s favourite so we’ve watched it probably close to a million times in the past year or so. You know how much I love the bear necessities?? SO MUCH!!
- movie with my wife – we haven’t been able to spend much time together the past couple of weeks so we’ll be putting all of the other stuff aside and hanging out with each other
Saturday
- worship practice in the morning – our worship leader came down with bronchitis and he better not give it to the rest of us!! We’ve also got a new vocalist and piano player joining us for the “audition” – I should blog sometime on how we do those
- I’m hoping the weather is at least halfway decent tomorrow so that we can spend some time at the park in our neighbourhood for the first time this year
Sunday
- church in the morning, as usual – the second week of our identity series including some Q&A with a couple from our small group
- dinner with William P. Young, author of “The Shack“
- evening Q&A session with our staff, elders and spouses together with Paul (he’s William on the book but Paul in real life) talking about the book, the story, Mark Driscoll, Canada and lots of other great topics
Thanks for stopping by the blog. I'm currently on sabbatical this summer - you can read more about my sabbatical here: Personal Update - What's Next
Since I'm away from the blog I've decided to close comments. I love the interaction and discussion that happens with readers and since I'm not able to do that this summer, I'll be very much looking forward to that when I return in August.
