If you’re in charge of the “worship environment” at your church you’ll want to check out this post by Ben Arment over at his blog, History In The Making.

Since I'm away from the blog I've decided to close comments. I love the interaction and discussion that happens with readers and since I'm not able to do that this summer, I'll be very much looking forward to that when I return in August.
Church on the Move is located in Tulsa, OK and seems to be doing some pretty awesome stuff in terms of creativity. Here are some photos of their Christmas service which they called “This Christmas”:
Wow – pretty awesome stuff! I went over to their site and had a bit of a look through and found an article on their website called “Cause For Creativity” – looks like a great outline of their creative philosophy and talks a bit about their creative process.
COTM’s Worship Pastor is Andy Chrisman, who has toured for a bunch of years with 4HIM, and their Creative Arts Pastor is Whitney George. I’m not sure if anyone who reads this is connected with Whitney but if he blogs I’d love to be reading it!
Anyways, not really much more to say about this church other than it looks like they really do have a clear sense of direction and calling and they have great teams of people who are willing to work hard to execute the vision. I’ll definitely be following what these guys are up to.

The updates have been fast and furious. I’ve been following along in my rss reader and this is the last link that I’ll send their way. You really need to get caught up with this story if you haven’t already – the faith and humility displayed in Nathan’s writing is incredible.
The big news is that their baby, Gwyneth, was delivered by C-section at 24ish weeks – that is a little over half way and much earlier than the doctors would have liked to have done it. Pray for this whole situation and that God would be honoured and glorified through all of the decisions that need to be made.
The post with some photos of baby Gwyneth is here.

I think I’ll make this a regular feature on Tuesdays. I’ll hilight a blog that I’ve been reading for a while and one that I’ve found recently. Hopefully it will give them some new readers and maybe you’ll find their blogs helpful as well.
Something old: Tea with McNair
I heard McNair Wilson speak at the 2006 Willow Arts Conference and have been following his blog ever since. His talk had a profound impact on me and I’ve been enjoying the things he has to say. His brainstorming ideas have also been very helpful in giving our creative discussions some framework. “C. McNAIR WILSON is a corporate creativity coach and popular conference speaker with clients from Apple Computer to the Salvation Army. McNair believes that everyone has a creative spirit and he is determined to get everyone on the active list. McNair draws on his work in: theatre, graphic design, illustration, creative writing, and theme park and entertainment design.”
Something new: Carey Nieuwhof
Carey is the pastor of Connexus Community Church and I blogged a little about their journey here. We’ve never met in person but his blogs are full of insight and emotion. The leadership and humility that he has shown through this time of transition and turmoil has been inspiring.

Spent the last couple days up north at the Next Level worship conference. I’ll post later this week about the things I learned while I was there but here are a couple quick things:
Brenton Brown has chronic fatigue syndrome
More learning can happen with the right people over lunch than in a whole bunch of workshops
Transitions in worship sets are really, really important
So here’s the deal – I’ll expand on each of those in my “what I learned” post. Cool?
I came home to a whack of stuff in my Google reader and found a few things that I thought were worth passing on.
Carey Nieuwhof’s blog – if you’ve seen my post on Connexus (and a bunch of you have) you may be interested in following the story of their lead pastor as he blogs through this journey
