My creative funk
I’m feeling like I’m in a bit of a creative funk and I know that the best way for me to get out of it is to use some helpful suggestions that will assist me in getting over the hump. I’m not the kind of person who needs time away or a nice, relaxing break to recharge my creative juices – I need to be creating.
I had some extra time the other day so I went over to PSDtuts.com and found a Photoshop tutorial that looked manageable in an hour or so. I’m by no means a Photoshop expert but I can follow instructions pretty good :)

I like to read. My creative fix is usually a Star Wars, Grisham, or Crichton novel.

This is EXACTLY who I am. Not creating drains me.
Find a new creative outlet.
Photography became mine. Learning to see things in new ways. Learning new technical skills.

try the Caffeine For a Creative Mind– excerices that work.
when i was single, i used to go around the city or a park and take photos of whatever is there. makes my mind think of how to make day-to-day simple things look different and interesting.
right now, it’s open-d tuning on my acoustic. thanks to phillip (http://brokenheadstock.com) for blogging about it. it gave me the idea and so far it is working great for me.
