“Recording 48 Tracks with Studio One and the FireStudio”

If you are thinking about doing any kind of live tracking of your church services, you need to watch this video from PreSonus to see how you can do it without spending a ton of cash. These are solid products and pretty straightforward to use. We are hoping to install a similar system to this (24 channels instead of 48) to be able to live track our services on Sunday morning.

    Hey Chris

I’m curious why you would live track your Sunday services?

thankfully we have a small team.. so my line 6 toneport ux8 does the job nicely

We use Presonus FireStudio’s for exactly that purpose (live tracking on Sundays). Currently only have 1 unit, though I’d LOVE to get another so we can stop pre-mixing the drums. Right now we pre-mix the drums on the board and sent the subgroup out to the FS. Lame, but until $ becomes available it’ll do.

The only problem I’ve ever had with them is sometimes they do lockup and stop passing audio through. Cycling of power fixes. This only seems to occur on power up though, never in the middle of playing. Otherwise this would be a big liability.
