With the “In Christ Alone” controversy last week, I was reminded at the significance and importance of the words we sing when we gather together as the church. Our theology not only informs our worship but it also forms our worship and leads us to develop what we believe about who God is. If the words we are singing help to shape how we think about God, we had better be seeing true, accurate, biblical lyrics!
So I want to know your favourite (or “favorite” for the heathens among you) worship lyric is.
Could be an old line from an old song, could be a fresh line from a new song.
Could be the chorus/hook of the song, could be a line hiding in the middle of a verse.
Whatever it is, I’d love to know what it is.
